Swap or trade-ins welcome. Bizarre and wacky not just welders

When sat in my office gazing longingly at the blue sky and sunshine, wishing that the weekend would hurry up so I could enjoy a perfect day strolling in the countryside, I was subjected to the most  the jaw dropping experience……….A life size baby elephant in a wooden crate passed slowly by the window?!!!

Yes – here in Leicester, central, traditional and often boring England, arrives a really sweet little elephant.  Well not so little as it was transported from a customer via our truck.

elephant 2I could hear the excitement from the guys working outside, then all of a sudden the office staff appeared too, keen to get a look at our recent swap of welding equipment.

When on closer inspection, I also see a Gorilla I start to think that finally our company has completely lost the plot. I mean, these things need feeding and create a huge amount of waste!

I know we offer part exchanges on machines around the world but I do think this time the Buyer needs to show some restraint. Fancy swapping a wild animal for a ESAB orbital machine. What on earth was his plan this time?

I promise we don’t normally accept anything quite as bizarre as an elephant.

We have had a swan – well actually it is paddle boat from the lake at Alton Towers theme park.  Many times we have had a vintage motorbike or a steam train, outside my office is a intricately carved 8ft dragon from the Far East and even a skeleton which now has a home in a science room at the local school.

After our involvement in a greener environment for over 50 years, (yes we have been recycling products for that long!) We strongly believe that accepting part exchanges helps everyone out.   As we say here, we love helping our customers and will go out of our way to make anything possible happen.

So now our customer out in Botswana has his welding machine to make safety bars on the 4×4 safari jeeps he produces and we get the to have yet another mouth to feed!!!

Anyone need manure? Going free to a good gardener!!!!!

If you are in the market for purchasing another piece of welding equipment, don’t forget to offer us any fabrication equipment no longer in use.
