- SAF Air Liquide automatic Plasma welding has been used in the boiler making industry and many others for decades
- Both the TH500 and 300 Removed from a Column and Boom and upgraded
- PAW is an advanced form of TIG welding but instead of being an open arc shielded by argon or helium, plasma arc welding uses a special torch where the nozzle is used to constrict the arc.
- Often referred to as keyhole or microplasma welding.
- Compared to TIG (GTAW) and to stick electrode (SMAW), savings can be achieved in labour and consumable costs due to improvement in welding time.
